Turboroad hid under his bed, as his twin brother had told him to do. Fulmine wasn't going to go easy on it, this time. His little children had stolen money from his wallet, this time, and that surely wasn't something he could let go. Start when you're a child, and you keep doing it when you grow up.

"Tell me the truth, Galt!" Fulmine was yelling, "You stole my money?"

Turboroad felt really guilty that his brother was being scolded instead of him. He'd wanted to go out of there and say the truth, but he knew Galt cared for him and didn't want him, the most fragile of the two, to feel bad about it.

(I'll go ahead and play Galt. I have no idea who Titania is XD; o.o by the way, how old are Galt and Turboroad now? Their real age of 3 or a little older?)

Galt frowned and crossed his arms, remaining tight-lipped. He couldn't tell a lie, and he didn't want to, so he opted to just stay silent for his brother's sake. Let Fulmine assume what he wanted and let him get punished instead of his brother.

Titania watched from the doorway, arms crossed and expression firm. She wouldn't condone either of the twins stealing from her beloved, but some part of her couldn't help feeling fascinated by Galt's defiance. He was always a headstrong child, and the way he stood up to others at such a young age spoke of a lot of self-confidence. Maybe we are raising them right, she thought. She only wished the two would be more open.

Galt continued to remain quiet as he stared down Fulmine with a determined frown. He wouldn't talk, he promised Turboroad.

Fulmine's optics shrinked to form a thin line, though you could still see a bright blue light through them.

His mouth arched in a menacious way as he raised his right hand.

Turboroad shuddered, feeling the fluids in his cables icing at the view. Galt was going to be slapped, and it was all his fault, only his fault! Tears came out of his optics, while the sense of guilt took him over completely.

I can't keep staying here... I just... can't...

Galt just barely flinched, bracing himself for the slap. It wouldn't matter if it hurt, it wouldn't matter if he cried; all that mattered was that Turboroad didn't take the abuse himself, and his promise would be fulfilled.

Titania saw the hand rise and instantly gasped. The last thing she wanted was any mental scars on the impressionable toddlers. A spanking was one thing, but a slap on the face was something else entirely.

"Fulmine, wait!" she pleaded, stepping forward and grabbing her love's hand. "Don't resort to this, he's only a toddler!"

Fulmine tried to release his hand from his wife-to-be's one, but didn't manage; she was surely stronger than he was.

"So, what do you want me to do?" he yelled, "I'm not gonna let it go this time!"

Turboroad's optics were full with tears, and he was struggling to not let the sobs come out. If his mother hadn't stopped Fulmine, he would have slapped Galt's innocent face.

I can't do this to my brother... He always defends me! I can't be such a coward once again!

He didn't think over it twice. With a burst of courage, he came out from under the bed and ran beside his brother, standing proudly at his side.

"It's not Galt's fault! I stole your money, dad," he said, his 3 years old voice trembling a bit, "I... I wanted to buy an ice-cream..."

Galt jumped and gave his brother a scolding and disbelieving look.

"What are you doing?!" he whispered, flinching guiltily to Titania's next statement.

"So, that's what this is all about." She turned to Fulmine, letting go of his hand. "Yes, what shall we do?" She looked again at the twins. Galt still stood stiffly in defiance, almost daring Fulmine to try and punish him now. The yellow toddler grasped Turboroad's hand and squeezed it tightly. He didn't want anything bad to happen to his brother.

"You know that neither of us can tolerate any of you stealing," Titania continued sternly, frowning at both boys. "If you want something, ask us first. Am I understood?" She watched the two nod, actually stalling on punishing them. She still didn't feel comfortable enough disciplining them despite how firm she acts around them.
